2026 Spring Girls Jr Red Hawks
U8 & U10 Division (2016 & Younger)

The Spring Girls Jr Red Hawks program is designed to give young players a fun, supportive environment to develop skills and gain real game experience.
With a mix of practices and cross-ice games, players will continue to build fundamentals while learning how to play as a team.

- Jersey provided prior to first game
- 5 Practices Mondays | 6:50 PM – 7:50 PM | May 4 – June 8 (No session May 25)
- 5 Cross-Ice Games Saturdays | 8:50 AM – 10:00 AM | May 9 – June 13 (No games May 23)

Spring Challenge Series
Spring Challenge Series is Back — And Better Than Ever!
The Spring Challenge Series returns for U8 through Highschool, giving players the opportunity to stay sharp, compete, and continue developing through structured practices and competitive games this spring.
Players U8–U15 will skate at Montclair State University Ice Arena, keeping the energy high and the competition strong all season long. Highschool Division will be played at Clary Anderson Arena. (High School division details coming soon)
Whether your player is building confidence, preparing for next season, or simply loves being on the ice, the Spring Challenge Series delivers meaningful reps, great competition, and a strong finish to the hockey year.

Rangers Rookie League
Play the Game! Now that your child has the basics covered, let’s take it up a notch! Each player will have the chance to put their skills to the test in a fun and competitive environment. Participants ages 5-10 years will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Once a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to play games led by Rangers staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey!
Your $395 league fee includes:
- 1 game and 1 practice session a week per 10-week season
- No long distance travel as all games are hosted at your local rink
- Guest coaching appearances from NYR Alumni and access to special events
- Junior Rangers team jersey (limited to your first registration)
Format:
The league has been designed to offer families an experience for recreational players. Each week consists of 1 hour of games and 1 practice session per week led by the Rangers Hockey Development Team.

Rangers Girls League
Join the Junior Rangers Girls Hockey League — an empowering, fun, and competitive program designed to help young female athletes build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
Participants will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Twice a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to practice and play full-ice games led by Rangers staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey!
Whether your player is stepping onto the ice for the first time or building on previous experience, the Junior Rangers Girls League is the perfect next step after Learn to Play.

Program Details
For Middle School Aged Players
- 10 games, plus championship
- 13 minute stop time periods, championship TBD. Upper and Lower Divisions.
- Max of 12 teams.
- Non-checking league
- Age range is for players is current 6th – 8th graders only.
If you would like to participate but do not have a team, please register for the MYHL for the Bantam Division!

Hockey Director
Liu has an extensive coaching history in the NJ area, including growing the Hockey in New Jersey program to one of the largest Hockey is for Everyone programs across the NHL. Before playing 4 years at West Virginia University, he was part of the 2003 Randolph State Championship team that was inducted into the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018.
