Stick and Puck
Looking for ice to practice your skills? Want to skate with your son or daughter? Or are you a goalie looking for extra shots? Why not try a stick and puck session!!! Stick and Puck Sessions are $20 and are offered at various times throughout the year. During Stick and Puck, players of mixed ages and abilities can practice stick handling, passing, and shooting on the ice with other players. Sessions are added regularly so keep your eyes on the schedule!

Details
Helmet, Skates, Gloves, Stick and Pucks are the equipment required, and please BRING YOUR OWN PUCKS. No pucks can be provided by the arena.
Sessions are open to players of all ages, HOWEVER, players ages 8 and under must be accompanied on the ice by an adult (age 18+)
Stick and Puck is limited to 40 participants.
ABSOLUTELY NO GAMES ARE TO BE PLAYED ON STICK & PUCK SESSIONS!

Open Hockey
Montclair State Ice Arena offers open hockey sessions all year round for many ages and abilities. Show off your skills in a relaxed, but organized game setting. After a minute warm up teams may be split up by jersey color and a fun game may be played!

First 2 goalies are FREE.

When Sessions are offered and scheduled by specific age groups- there are no exceptions to age groups

Under the Direction of
Mike Liu joins the Montclair State University Ice Arena as Hockey Director. Liu has an extensive coaching history in the NJ area, including growing the Hockey in New Jersey program to one of the largest Hockey is for Everyone programs across the NHL. Before playing 4 years at West Virginia University, he was part of the 2003 Randolph State Championship team that was inducted into the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018. Liu will be an instrumental part of the leadership team for Montclair State Arena, as well as the primary director for all things hockey.
