About Montclair State Ice Arena

Since 1908 Montclair University has prepared thousands of students for a lifetime of personal and professional success. MSU annually serves over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students of a diverse environment.
The Montclair State Arena, recently acquired by the University,
has been a pillar in the community for over 20 years. Hosting over
half a million guests annually, the facility boasts two full NHL sized
arenas, a performance training and rehab center, a full service pro shop and local café.

Montclair State Arena is home to the MSU Men’s & Women’s Ice Hockey Teams, as well as the training home to many Olympic & National Level Figure Skating Participants and Medalists. Many student run activities take place at the arena, along with long-standing community based programs and instruction. Students are involved at the arena, not just as skaters and hockey players, but also as coaches, competitors, staff and guests. The Montclair Blues Travel Youth Hockey Organization is home to over 450 families for both boys and girls hockey from 8 and Under to U19 players, and calls the Montclair State Arena home, along with many local high school hockey teams, including
Clifton High School.

The Skating Academy hosts over 1,000 skaters annually from Learn to Skate, Learn to Play and the many training activities and clinics instructed by previous NCAA players and professional level coaches. Open skating, student only activities, as well as birthday and corporate parties round out the programming the Arena has to offer. For all your equipment needs, Xhockey Products is the resident pro shop on site, and Parabolic Training and Rehabilitation Facility, located on the 2nd floor, takes care of our off ice instruction and injury prevention.

The MSA Café offers up hot panini sandwiches, cheddar beer brats, and
all your favorite snack foods to make your visit to the Arena a memorable
one. Open to the public year round and catering to the community and
