Montclair State Ice Arena offers Adult Hockey Skills Clinics. Get some exercise, improve your skills, or learn the game. Skills covered include forward and backward skating skills, edgework, stickhandling, and passing, and most sessions conclude with a 10-15 minute scrimmage! Sign up today!

Adult Hockey Leagues
Montclair State Ice Arena offers Adult Leagues all year round at several different skill and age levels. Seasons are 10-14 games and play on Sunday to Thursday nights. Leagues often sell out so get your registration in today. Organize a team or come in on your own!

Adult Instructional League
The Montclair State Ice Arena Adult Instructional League offers a flexible, comprehensive hockey experience for new and returning players. Each season provides skills and drills sessions,instructional scrimmages, and concluding games with coaches and referees. Designed to accommodate various skill levels, the program helps players build confidence, learn techniques, and enjoy competitive play in a supportive environment. A perfect way to improve your skills in smaller areas in a non-structured game environment! Each hour session will feature round robin play, with 3 cross-ice games.

Quarry Cat Women’s Program
Montclair State Ice Arena has two women’s hockey teams that call Montclair State Ice Arena their home. Players skate at the C and D level for the current season. The program includes game and practice time and the season runs from late September until March.

Under the Direction of
Hockey Director
Liu has an extensive coaching history in the NJ area, including growing the Hockey in New Jersey program to one of the largest Hockey is for Everyone programs across the NHL. Before playing 4 years at West Virginia University, he was part of the 2003 Randolph State Championship team that was inducted into the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018.
