Whether it’s power skating, scoring, stickhandling, or battle techniques, Maffei’s Mites combines skill-building with engaging play to keep young players excited and improving throughout the season.

Scoring Clinic

Powerskating & Stickhandling

Players will work on proper skating techniques to gain power and balance while also developing stickhandling skills that increase puck protection, creativity, and offensive threat on the ice. This clinic emphasizes awareness in the offensive zone, teaching players how to find open spaces, create plays, and be a constant goal-scoring threat. Participants will develop the ability to skate confidently with and without the puck, combining smooth transitions and quick moves to outsmart defenders. This clinic not only focuses on fundamental techniques but also applies them directly to game situations to help players elevate their performance on the ice.

Small Area Games & Skills

This high-energy clinic, led by Coach Mike Liu, blends edgework, stickhandling, and shooting into fast-paced, small-area drills that simulate real-game situations. Open to Squirts through Bantams, players will sharpen their skills and immediately apply them in game-like scenarios — the perfect way to boost hockey IQ, elevate performance, and bring their game to the next level.
