Michele Barbieri brings more than 40 years of skating experience, including 28 years as a coach. A former regional singles competitor and national synchronized skating athlete, she continues to compete as a member of the reigning Eastern Champion Open Masters team. Michele coaches skaters of all ages in figure skating and hockey skating, with a specialty in edgework. Outside the rink, she enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her daughter’s dance career, traveling, and relaxing at the beach.

Kristen Fraser brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and an accomplished international competitive career to Montclair State Ice Arena. A two-time Olympic ice dancing competitor (2002 and 2006), Kristen is a 10-time World and European Championship competitor and served as a coach for a 2018 Winter Olympic qualifier. She is certified through U.S. Figure Skating, the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and ISI, and is passionate about helping skaters reach their full potential at every stage of their journey.

Igor Lukanin is an accomplished international ice dance coach and competitor with an exceptional competitive career. A two-time Olympic ice dancing competitor (2002 and 2006), Igor is a nine-time World and European Championship competitor, a nine-year ISU Grand Prix Circuit competitor, and a 10-time National Champion of Azerbaijan. He also served as the Sport Coordinator for the Azerbaijan Figure Skating Federation, bringing a wealth of international experience and elite-level knowledge to skaters of all ages and abilities.
